A complete luxury home gym runs roughly $25,000 to $40,000, fits a room about 10 by 12 feet, and can be installed in one to two weeks or take five months — depending entirely on which brand you choose. Everything below is what our clients ask before they buy: what it costs, what fits, which maker to choose, and how to sequence it against a build.
The distinction is not price. It is whether the equipment was designed to be looked at.
Commercial gym equipment is built for a facility — powder-coated steel, rubber, moulded plastic, branding on every surface. It performs well and it looks like what it is, which is why it usually ends up in a basement. The makers Jack Fitness carries build to a different brief: solid hardwood, full-grain leather, brushed and champagne stainless, and hardware finished the way furniture hardware is finished. A NOHrD SlimBeam reads as millwork with a cable stack behind it. PENT's IRENA treadmill is handcrafted individually in natural wood, stainless steel, bronze and leather.
That is what lets the room stay part of the house. Almost every client we work with is putting this equipment somewhere they actually live — a spare bedroom, a study, a garden room, a primary suite — rather than exiling it downstairs.
Nobody in this category publishes real numbers, so here are ours. These are current Jack Fitness prices, assembled as rooms rather than packages — they are not sets you can add to a cart, but they are what people in each tier actually buy.
| Budget | What it buys | Room & timing |

| $25,000–40,000 A complete room |

The jump from the middle tier to the top is not a jump in capability. It is a jump in material — stainless steel and full-grain leather instead of hardwood and nickel plate — and in whether each piece was individually made for you.
Less than most people assume. A cable machine mounted on the wall occupies under a quarter square meter of floor; the NOHrD Wall Bar projects just 13 cm. What actually governs the room is the clear space you leave around the equipment, not the equipment itself.
Three planning rules cover most situations: 36 inches of walkway anywhere you need to pass, 6 to 7 feet of clear floor in front of any wall-mounted unit, and enough room at the working end of a bench or rack to load and unload without turning sideways. A 6 by 8 foot corner takes one wall-mounted anchor and a mat. Ten by twelve is the sweet spot for a complete room.
Our full guide to room sizing has footprints for every major piece and three worked room layouts.
Jack Fitness carries four makers, and timeline and budget separate them faster than taste does.
| Brand | Lead time | Range | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| NOHrD | 1–2 weeks | $159 – $25,499 | The widest catalog, in stock now |
| WaterRower | 1–2 weeks | $1,499 – $1,999 | Rowing, and nothing else |
| Fysik | 10–12 weeks | $390 – $11,900 | Strength in stainless and solid wood |
| PENT Fitness | ~20 weeks | $190 – $31,824 | The whole room, handcrafted in Europe |
Most rooms end up mixing them. That works, provided you plan on complementary rather than identical finishes — four makers means four finishing processes. The full brand comparison goes deeper on what each one specialises in.
The equipment will sit in a finished space with flooring, millwork and daylight already in it, so finish selection matters more here than in a commercial fit-out. NOHrD and WaterRower share six woods. PENT offers up to six woods, five leathers and a choice of stainless or champagne stainless hardware. Fysik works in four woods including teak.
Individual swatches from Jack Fitness are free, most orders ship the same day, and they arrive in three to five days. Order the finishes you are weighing and hold them against your actual floor, in the light of the room, at the hour you will use it. Screens do not reproduce grain or undertone honestly. See our finish guide or go straight to swatch samples.
This is where most projects go wrong, and it is entirely avoidable. Lead times across our catalog run from one week to twenty, so the order date matters as much as the choice.
If you are working to a fixed date — a closing, a hotel opening, a room that has to be finished before guests arrive — start with our Quick-Ship collection, which is everything we hold in stock. If you are working to a construction schedule, PENT is worth the wait: order it when the drywall goes up and it will arrive about when the floors are done.
Two details that catch people out. The finish you choose can change the lead time, because we stock by finish — the NOHrD Citius treadmill ships now in oak and walnut and takes 12 to 16 weeks in the other four. And wall-mounted pieces anchor into studs or masonry, so the wall needs to be understood before the drywall closes. Full lead-time guide here.

Optional White Glove delivery unboxes the equipment, performs light assembly, places it in the room where you will use it and removes all packaging. Designers, architects and contractors can apply for our Trade & Contract program, which adds project pricing, a dedicated client rep and expedited swatching — ASID, IIDA, AIA, NKBA and IDC members qualify, as do NCIDQ and CCIDC holders. Roughly $4,000 to $8,000 for a serious corner, $25,000 to $40,000 for a complete room, and $70,000 to $120,000 for a fully designed space in handcrafted materials.
About 6 by 8 feet if you build around one wall-mounted piece. Ten by twelve is comfortable for a complete room with cable, bench and free weights.
One to two weeks for in-stock NOHrD and WaterRower equipment, 10 to 12 weeks for Fysik, and roughly 20 weeks for handcrafted PENT Fitness.

No. Most of our clients build around wall-mounted and folding pieces so the room keeps another purpose — a study, a guest room, a garden room.
Yes, and cable and bodyweight equipment suits it better than free weights, because nothing is dropped and there is no motor. Check that the walls take a structural anchor and that the freight elevator will take the crate; we can confirm crate dimensions before you order.
Yes. Contract projects run through our Trade & Contract program, which includes project pricing and a dedicated client rep.
